One Hour, One Week, One Month

OK- so it's an hour before my Neuro exam and I think I'm done studying. Time to start this blog. It is, of course, one week before my M1 Final Exam. In one month, I'll be in Honduras at the start of my trip.

I decided to keep a blog this summer so all my friends and family can keep track of me on the road. I've got a little map of the places I'll be and dates, which I'll post soon. In general, I'll be backpacking Central America for 8 weeks straight (May 20th- July 14th), and then vacationing all-inclusive style in Cabo San Lucas, Mexico with my family for another week (July 16th-July24th).

My solo backpacking trek will take me through Honduras and Belize, along the Caribbean (2 weeks). Then onto Western Guatemala for medical Spanish school (3 weeks), where I'll hook up with a few of my classmates from Emory Med. Finally, I'll hug the Pacific coasts of El Salvador, Nicaragua, and Costa Rica for another three weeks, with a few deviations inland.

I've got a week to finish school, and then less than two to prep for this journey. Keep checking back here for updates!
